Our Mission

WOW Transitional Center aims to provide relief, rehabilitation, and means of transitioning for women that are coming out of detention centers, hospitals, institutions, or are simply having trouble relocating. There are many women in need of lifelong skills and transitioning assistance, many of which have children. Some have no support, and nowhere to turn. The ultimate goal is to continue educating our country on helping others and to distribute resources to better our minority communities. This will allow us to grow stronger as a nation. These women bear the children that can become the future leaders of our country. What makes us unique is our vehemence for assisting others that are otherwise overlooked. The times that we live in today are perilous, and there are people that are in dire need of love and care. We take pride in leading by example.

In addition to this, it is no secret that the justice system of our nation has failed the Black community, as a whole. In terms of minority women's rights, Black women are not cherished, preserved, and protected. The effects are astounding on women of color. Likewise, many businesses and creative efforts established by Black women are not valued or adequately funded. WOW Transitional Center aims to combat this issue by distributing resources and support to people of color. We must love our sisters and brothers. We must heal our community, as well as our nation as a whole.

Never underestimate the power of support and sowing seeds.
